May 24th & 25th 2011

I invite you to join me in an evening of stories and songs inspired by a month-long trip across the USA.

During March 2011 I travelled coast to coast from San Francisco to New York City via a crowd of people that I knew from the internet, asking for direction on my blog and Twitter.

The purpose of the trip was not to see whether it *could* be done, or even how cheaply or directly it could be done.  Rather, I wanted to see what happened if I set myself on one side of a continent and allowed my existing social network to help me get to the other side.  Or as I said before setting out: "What happens when I let go of control and ask for help?"

I knew that if I did it, I would come back with some stories worth telling.  This evening is your chance to hear a few of them.

How did I find myself naked in a stranger's basement?  Why I was thinking of Mardi Gras in Milwaukee when I was making cheese in Maine? And what really happened the night of the SuperMoon in Southern Louisiana?

Join me and my ukulele on a heart-warming ramble over 8,000 miles of railway track and the spare rooms and sofa beds of suburban America.

Ticket types refer cryptically to the seating blocks that will be available - all of which will have a good view of the proceedings (yes, there will be NO seats in Canada!)
